Terms of Service

01

Purpose and service agreement

These terms set out the conditions for using the web service provided by the operator of Watts Lab (referred to as 'Watts Lab'), and the rights and obligations of Watts Lab and its users.

A service agreement is formed when you acknowledge these terms and the Privacy Policy and complete registration. The service is available to users aged 14 or older.

02

Services and fees

Watts Lab provides cycling activity records, power and training load analysis, fitness and fatigue estimates, training recommendations, and training plans. If you choose external connections, you can import activities from Strava or send workout schedules to Intervals.icu.

The basic features currently offered, including registration, profile settings, and ride data synchronization, are free. Watts Lab may introduce paid features through subscriptions or individual purchases in the future.

If paid services are introduced, we will disclose the price, included features, billing cycle, whether renewal is automatic, cancellation methods, and refund terms before payment, and obtain any required consent. Separate terms for a paid service will apply alongside these terms.

03

Accounts and external connections

You must provide accurate information and securely manage your password, devices, and connected accounts. You must not use another person's account or transfer or lend your own account.

Strava and Intervals.icu are also subject to their respective providers' terms and policies. Their outages, policy changes, or revocation of access may limit connected features. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.

04

Your obligations

You must comply with applicable law, these terms, and service instructions. The following actions are prohibited.

  • Using another person's account, personal information, or activity data without authorization
  • Reverse-engineering the service or API, or bypassing security
  • Placing excessive load on the service, including through automated requests
  • Transmitting illegal information, malicious code, or materials that infringe third-party rights
  • Copying, distributing or selling Watts Lab workouts or downloaded files, or posting them to another service, without permission
  • Using the service for purposes contrary to law or public order
05

Content and copyright

The workouts Watts Lab creates (their names, descriptions, coaching cues and downloadable files such as ZWO), the workout library, and the text and design of the service are works of Watts Lab, and Watts Lab holds the rights to them.

You may use them for your own training and move downloaded files to the training apps and devices you use. Without Watts Lab's consent, you may not copy, distribute or sell them, or post them to another service or a public place for others to use.

You keep the rights to your own data, such as the activity records you connect or enter.

06

Using training information

Training recommendations, fitness and fatigue estimates, and coaching text are reference information based on activity records and information you provide. They are not medical diagnosis, treatment, or rehabilitation prescriptions and do not guarantee particular health or performance outcomes.

Sensor errors, missing records, or inaccurate profiles may affect analysis results. You must make final training decisions based on your health, environment, and equipment. If you experience symptoms such as pain, dizziness, or difficulty breathing, stop exercising and seek appropriate help.

07

Service changes, interruptions, and restrictions

We may change or temporarily suspend all or part of the service for maintenance, security responses, external API outages, natural disasters, or operational needs. Foreseeable material changes or service termination will be announced in advance through the service or your registered email address.

If you violate these terms or compromise security or the rights of others, we may restrict your use of the service or terminate the service agreement after informing you of the reason. Where necessary to prevent urgent harm, we may restrict access first and then explain the reason and how to appeal.

08

Termination and liability

You may terminate the service agreement at any time by deleting your account in Settings. Your account and personal information will be deleted according to the retention periods and procedures in the Privacy Policy.

Watts Lab is liable under applicable law for harm caused to users by its intentional acts or negligence. Watts Lab is not liable, to the extent it is not at fault, for harm resulting from incorrect user input, unauthorized account use, failures of external services, or circumstances beyond its control. This provision does not limit users' statutory rights.

09

Changes to these terms, disputes, and inquiries

These terms take effect on October 26, 2026. Changes and their effective date will generally be announced at least 7 days in advance. Material changes unfavorable to users will generally be announced at least 30 days in advance, and separate consent will be obtained where required.
